The atelier

European garments made to age.

Designed in Copenhagen. Made in Europe.

MERO makes a small wardrobe of garments intended to be kept. Every piece begins with a material — a selvedge denim woven on narrow looms, a wool tweed from Scotland, an organic cotton from Portugal. We design around the fabric, not the season.

Small, numbered editions

We produce in short runs and stop deliberately. An edition is cut, finished, numbered and closed — we do not repeat it. This keeps quantities honest and lets our workshops give each run the time it needs.

Where we work

Our studio is in Copenhagen. Cutting and making happen in traceable European workshops, principally in Porto, Portugal, with knitwear finished in Hawick, Scotland. We visit every workshop we use and name them on request.

Repairs for life

Send any MERO garment back for darning, patching or re-finishing. The first repair is free; after that you pay only for materials. A garment that can be repaired is worn for decades rather than seasons — that is the whole point.

Caring for your pieces

Wash cold and inside out, and line dry in shade. Natural fibres soften and settle with wear; the first few wears are when a garment starts becoming yours. Never bleach, and press wool on the reverse with a cloth.
